Who we are
We're a husband and wife from Greater Noida, India. Prashant is a Senior Software Engineer and Somya is a Senior Technical Lead — both deep in the corporate tech world, both living the life of sprints, deployments, and all-hands meetings.
The 3D printer was meant to be a one-time purchase. We wanted to make a few things for ourselves — a figurine we'd seen online, some custom pieces for the house — and figured we'd give it a shot. That printer changed everything. The moment we held the first print in our hands, something clicked. The idea that you could design anything, hit print, and an hour later be holding a physical object — it felt genuinely magical. We were hooked immediately.
For months it was purely personal. Evenings and weekends at the printer, learning the craft, experimenting with materials, failing a lot and loving every second of it. We printed for ourselves, then for friends who kept asking "can you make one for me?" Then someone we'd never met asked if we sold them. We said yes before we even had a plan.
That's how CraftMindLab was born — not from a business strategy or a pitch deck, but from two people who found something they were genuinely passionate about and couldn't stop making. We kept our day jobs, set up a proper little studio at home, and started doing this properly.
Every order that leaves our studio is still handled by the two of us. We design, print, finish, inspect, and pack everything ourselves. That will never change — because the moment it stops being hands-on, it stops being CraftMindLab.

In the studio
When Prashant isn't in a sprint planning meeting, he's at the studio workstation — slicing models, tweaking layer settings, and watching the first few layers of a new print settle in.
The setup is part developer, part maker. Multiple monitors, a slicer running in one window and a CAD file open in another. He's the one who makes sure the technical side of every print is dialled in before a single gram of filament is used.
Some of his best settings discoveries happen at 11pm on a Wednesday.

Design & finish
Somya handles everything that happens after a print comes off the bed — and that turns out to be a lot. Support removal, sanding, priming, painting, and a final inspection before anything gets packed.
Her background in tech means she approaches finishing the way a good engineer approaches code review: methodically, with zero tolerance for things that are 'almost right'. If a surface isn't smooth enough, it goes back.
She also has the final say on how every piece looks before it ships. If she wouldn't put it on her own shelf, it doesn't go out.

Running the machines
CraftMindLab runs FDM and resin printers, and keeping them all dialled in is basically a full-time second job. Prashant handles calibration, maintenance, and the occasional late-night run to make sure a long print is still going strong.
There's a specific satisfaction in watching a complex model build up layer by layer — especially one that took three failed test prints to get right. That feeling never gets old.

Packaging & dispatch
Packaging is the final thing CraftMindLab does before an order becomes yours — and Somya treats it that way. Every piece is wrapped carefully, no box leaves the studio she wouldn't be happy to receive herself.
She manages dispatch, quality control, and customer communication. It's the most hands-on part of running a product studio, and also the part customers notice most when they open the box.
We'll never outsource this. The care at this step is the whole point.

We believe 3D printing is one of the most remarkable creative tools available today — and most people have no idea how good it can get when someone actually cares about the output.
At CraftMindLab, we obsess over the details that don't show up in product photos: the layer adhesion, the finish on a curved surface, the way paint sits on a fine-detail resin print. We sweat that because we know you'll feel it when it's in your hands.
Small batch. Handmade. No shortcuts. That's the only way we know how to do it.

What drives us
CraftMindLab was never a business plan — it was a hobby that grew too big to keep to ourselves. Every print we ship carries that original energy: someone genuinely excited about what they made.
Two software engineers run this lab. That means obsessive calibration, tight tolerances, and zero tolerance for a 'good enough' print. If it doesn't meet our standard, it gets reprinted.
Each piece is designed, printed, post-processed, and packed by us — not a factory. Small batch, hands-on, personal. That's the only way we know how to do it.
How we work

We start with a model — sourced from talented artists or designed in-house — and optimise every STL for our printers so micro-details survive the layer-by-layer process.

Our FDM and resin printers run calibration checks daily. Each build is monitored to hold tight dimensional tolerances on every layer.

Support removal, sanding, priming, painting — every piece is hand-finished. The extra time shows in the final result.

Custom-fit packaging, tracked shipping across India and worldwide. Most orders dispatched within 2-3 business days.
